OK, I'm also looking for opinions, too. Got this yesterday. Pretty proud of it. Even though the pics look like the stock was "messed with". I really don't believe it is. Looks much better in person. Bore was also better than described, and came with the original cleaning rod. I really think this is a neat one. Shorter but heavier than a 38 carbine. Oh, and it is missing the rear sight elevator. Anyone have one?

$350. They're just so hard to come by in this shape.

Not as much as I would have thought.

Last one I saw in good condition was, IIRC, $550.

A little higher than I normally pay for anything, but I sold off a couple of common duplicate T-99s so, what the hell.

The Mum has not been ground, but has been marred by a circular punch. That was common on guns passed on to schools (equivalent of College ROTC) and military academies.

The mum is slightly "defaced", but I will take this, or a couple of slashes over a full ground mum. One of the Type 38 Carbines I have has an untouched mum with the school mark ("bun") as well.
