Tyler T Grips - back up and shipping or???

I know they went through a period where checks were being cashed and product was running way behind. Has anyone RECENTLY bought a T grip and gotten it within a normal timeframe? Hate to send off a check and then not get the product or not get it until 9 months later; and since they do not take credit cards, I lose that protection aspect

They should be back on track or getting back on track. I ordered a T-grip about 2 years ago and it took close to 6 months or more to get mine so I can tell you what I was told.

I was told all this by the son by the way who ended up taking over the business/production. Basically the father was in charge of the business and refused to change with the times and was being very stubborn. On top of that he was giving false shipping estimates and lying to customers about when they would get their orders shipped. I don't know all the details but things should be getting back on track by now. Either way it's worth putting an order in because no one else is making them. If it takes a while to get so be it, but you will get it eventually.
 
I own 5 sets of Tyler T grips, bought some of them on the net and ordered 2 from the family (some years ago). During the delivery crisis, an alternative became available. It was made in plastic and I read that some people were very happy with it. I think it was called BK.
 
while their product is considered a good one and desirable by some, I have not heard anything good lately about their customer service or delivery of product. they seem to be in perpetual financial or legal strife internally.
 
I placed an order back in July and paid with a money order. I had the two grips in about 2 weeks. Last year I placed an order for 4 grips and it took about a month. So my experience leads me to believe they're back on track.
 
Ordered my Tyler-T about 5 months. Yes I had to wait a while.

Came in about 3 weeks ago.

I ordered one earlier this year. According to their website updates they were having flu and tornado troubles. I waited a couple months before calling and leaving a message. The grip showed up a week later and I'm more than happy with it.

I've read good things about the new plastic alternative, but it didn't feel right clamping plastic onto a classic J frame.
 
I ordered one a couple months ago and got it reasonable quick, 2-3 weeks if I remember correctly.
 
im guessing they don't keep some on hand and just make them as the orders come in? that's why the two week or longer wait?

EXACTLY! I knew there was some reason I had no interest at all in the BK, and you've just hit the nail on the head. I don't care how good the BK is, it's not a classic T-grip.



I ordered mine back when they weren't delivering. I had given up on ever seeing either the grips or the money again, then one day about six-eight months later, lo and behold, they turned up.

I'd order from them again if I needed any.
