Two Piece Guide Rod

Where can I find information on two piece guide rods? How do they differ from the Kimber Pro CDP's guide rod? This is the only guide rod I am familiar with. All info is appreciated!

I have used both one piece and two piece guide rods. The two piece allows for easier disassembly / reassembly procedures, but it can begin to unscrew during firing. I would never use a two piece rod on gun that I was going to use for IPSC or IDPA shooting. It is just one more thing to malfunction. Just my opinion.

Two piece is superior because you can take it apart and throw it in two different trash cans ensuring that nobody can put it back into use. Get the standard govt model spring guide and plug and you won't go wrong.

I'm with you BigG.

Replaced the FLGR in my TRP and haven't noticed any difference in shooting or function. If it was good enough for John Browning, it's good enough for me.

Steve.
