Two of the worst presidential candidates ever.

Pretty incredible, isn't it? If you assume a population of 275,000,000 for the United States, then the two presidential candidates represent 1/137,500,000 of the population. Or .00007 % of the population. They are statistically insignificant, and not nearly worth the millions of dollars that are squandered on American "elections." It shouldn't be surprising that we are "given" such losers every four years.

Sodbuster, I got into the "money" argument regarding elections with my wife the other night. The media's been going nuts with the fact that Bush has raised $100 million so far. So what? Master Lock spent $60 million for one 60-second spot during the Super Bowl! Which is more important?

The only candidate I can recall liking was Dole in the primaries in 1980. He came across as tough, as I remember it now. As for Bush, I like him as a person. If he isn't as polished a speaker as Clinton, that doesn't matter. We've had eight years of "polish." More like a spit-shine, with us as the spit-tee. Rally around Bush, keep Gore out. Then vote for Bluesman or Coinneach in 2004 :)

Carter, Nixon, Ford? All strong for the RKBA!!

Just think about the 8 year reign of President Anderson!

Bush is the first one who has a record of doing at least something for the cause.

Did Dole?

TMoney,
I agree, but I like the Bush varmit a whole lot better than the other guy.

I'm getting an ulcer.................

(no more poll watching for me)

Bush campaigned on shall-issue, got Suzanna Gratia-Hupp's support, signed a decent shall-issue bill the moment it hit his desk, signed a bill doing some nice cleanup of the CCW process a few years later, then supported and signed a ban on local gov't suits against gunmakers.

What the heck are you talking about? "Worst candidate"? That's nuts. He took a leadership role in driving back gun control...no contender in YEARS can say the same, maybe even generations.

THEN he picked Cheney for VP, who's record oughta be clear to *anybody*. And he idolizes current Supreme Court justices that we can only hope are the type that hear Emerson.

At a recent rally in AZ, Jeff Cooper reports that Bush spoke at an event where people were openly packing. Bush didn't retreat, told the Secret Service to chill out, and told the largely pro-gun crowd that "help was on the way".

CAN ANY OF YOU PICTURE GORE DOING THAT!?!?

What the hell is all this doom and gloom about?

Jim

So Bush raised a lot of money . Big Ratzazz . The Dems do the same . Not only for elections but for the new Adult Bookstore AKA Klintons Pres. Library .
They are raising this money from people and companies that are successful in business . That is the Capitalistic society that we all are a part of . The ones that dislike it are only those too stupid or lazy to participate .
A 22 year old Internet geek can go public and raise 500 million and people are impressed . This venture may or may not succeed . Bush raises 100 million in a quest to restore common sense and decency to this country and he is criticized .
There is an alternative . Cuba .Habla Se Dowhatyou'retold ?
Monkeyleg , you were right . Don't take any lip from closet Commies that bitch about those that do well .
