Two new Savage family members

Well, we are adopting two new .22 members into the family:

• (Bert, birthday gift to wife) A Savage Mark II BTV, with a Bushnell Banner 3.5-10x36 on an EGW base with Burris Signature Zee rings.
• (Ernie, because I enjoy toys too) A Savage Mark II FV-SR, with a Sightron 6-24x42 Silhouette on an EGW base with Burris Signature Zee rings.

The BTV rifle, both scopes, and both ring sets have arrived; I'm only waiting on the EGW bases and the FVSR rifle before installation. Hopefully I can get both to the range the weekend of the 21st to try out.

I have the Savage MK-II BTVS and can assure you that you won't be disappointed. Mine is capable of shooting better than I can. I do have a Burrris Signature series mounted on it and what a tack driver. ...

One observation, thumbhole stocks; Quite a few guys have stated that they don't care for them. I've gotten in the habit of asking if they have ever shot one and so far, all have replied that they haven't. One was a shooting buddy that has shot rifles for many years and I let him shoot mine. Next week he went out and got the same model you have. .....
