Two new ones in the fold.......

A thread here got me missing my (now gone for a while) USP .40, so I started looking around. Long story short, I ended up at Cabela's during their employee pricing sale that started today and ended up with two new pistols. An FNH FNX-45 and a Beretta Storm Compact in 9mm. With my military discount added on, I got them for what I consider a great price.
I went straight from Cabela's to the range and put a couple hundred rounds through the FNX-45 and will write a review for the forum later tonight and tomorrow. The Beretta Storm Compact 9mm will be fired/written up at a later date yet to be determined. Anyway, it's been a fun morning!

I can't seem to post the pics - too large. Will try to figure out what's going on and get them up soon. :confused:

Obviously didn't work. Dangit! :mad::cool:

I do not need too see the FNX 45 review....lol!

I have one with over two thousand rounds through it.

Initially used Precision One ammo and had some FTEs and FTFs. Dang!

Changed ammo and it has not faltered since in three years. Lots of different ammo through it.....not even a hiccup.

The good thing is that the precision one stuff did well in my Bersa UC Pro 45.....another very good pistol.

I have two other FNH pistols (FNS 40 and FNX 40) and, IMHO, FNH makes a superb weapon. They fit my hand and are very accurate.

And I am looking forward to reading your review of the FNX 45.

I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of YouTube vids on the FNX-45, and I think some people will be surprised at how I differer from many of those. Also, I'm going to include stuff that I couldn't find online like actual size comparisons between it and other pistols (1911's, CZ P-01, Sig P229 etc) and some other things as well. if i can't figure out how to post pics though, it's going to be a problem. :p I had only one failure in the 200 rounds today and it had nothing to do with the pistol - my electric hearing protection went dead and I had to do a tactical battery change in the middle of it all. The pistol performed flawlessly.

Finally a pic of the two pistols. :rolleyes: I'm working on a review of the FNX-45, and it will probably be in two parts - the initial shooting review, and then a comparison review to other pistols and addressing what I heard in my research before buying and setting some of that nonsense straight. :cool:
