Two HK P7M8 Questions

(1) What's the trigger itself made of? Looks like plastic but that's hard to believe.

(2) The actual width of the M8 grip is only slightly narrower than that of the M13. Does it feel that much thinner? Does the trigger reach feel shorter? I would think it's nice and short on both.

1) I believe it's plastic. I think some of the early ones had aluminum triggers. There's nothing wrong with polymer triggers.

2) To me, I think the M13 grip is much thicker. I have smaller hands and the M13 grip is not comfortable for me. You really have to try one to see for yourself. Some people like the M13 grip. I think the PSP is the best for concealed carry as it is thinner yet and no protruding mag release buttons on the side.

The current P7M8 triggers are polymer-coated steel. Only the exposed portion of the trigger is polymer-coated. The portion that extends inside of the frame and under one of the grip panels is not. The original P7 triggers, found only only early P7 PSPs, are all-steel. One of my P7 PSPs has this. My other five P7s have the polyer-coated steel triggers. As far as thickness, the P7M13 is much thicker than the P7M8. Both, however, can share the same holster due to the fact that their slides and front half of the frames are the same dimensions.
