Tulsa Wannamaker Gun Show - Who's going, and where and when to meet.

The show is October 21-22, correct?

I started a new thread because the other one was labeled something like "3700 table gun show OK", without the searchable terms "Tulsa" and "Wannamaker" in the subject line, for TFLers searching for the thread between now and then (these days, it's no easy task to manually search the last 10 days' topics - that's 5 pages!!)

OK, what about set meeting times for TFLers to gather & find one another for 10 minutes twice per day - In other words, what say we pick out a specific place, described in a way that people can identify the place without knowing the venue (e.g. "the main front doors, by the trash can" or similar), and then meet to look for other TFLers from, say, 9:00 to 9:10 am, and again, at the same place, from 1:30 to 1:40 pm, both Sat and Sun? Wear "TFL" shirts, nametags, or other identifiers.

So who here familiar with the show can say what the best place and times to meet is/are?

And sound off if you're definitely going, coming from where, and carpooling with whom, if applicable.

I'm coming from OKC - I can attend Sat, Oct 21, coming solo AFAIK, and can meet at both the am and pm times.

I think I'll be there, but I'm not sure of which day. Probably Sat.

Your meeting times sound good. As for a place? I'll leave that advice to someone who's been there before.

There was talk of meeting for dinner. Any more ideas on that end??

Later,
Chris

Terri and I will be there. I hae been sending out some Emails this morning with a link to the thread asking people if they are planning to go.

Chris, I had suggested that TFL members try to meet for dinner Saturday night. JeffOTMG, Emailed me this morning with a couple of restaurant suggestions. I'm also going
to drop TFL'er Whitebear, an Tulsa resident,
to inquire if he knows of any "out of the way", reasonably priced resaurants in town.

This should be a good opportunity for several TFL members to meet for the first time in person.

Futo, I WILL BE THERE!!! I think I am staying at the Holiday Inn Express on I-44, I will have to check that. Popular meeting place is on the ramp between the upper and lower levels. That is the ramp on the FRONT or SOUTH side of the building. That side is the same side as the main entrance and the side where the 70 ft (?) tall oil driller is standings, the side that faces 21st St. NOT the ramp on the back side of the building. Your times sound good to me. I will be there.

Hey, all -

I will compile a list of good, inexpensive, out-of-the way restaurants for all you folks coming to the show, and post it this weekend.

I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can in person.

Joe (Condition One) and I will be there. We're helping a friend with a table and will have exhibitors badges. We're coming in from Springfield on Friday night and staying at the Howard Johnson's at 47th & Yale. The south ramp (as Jeff OTMG suggested) is a good meeting place. Looking forward to meeting some of the TFL posters. This is always a fantastic gun show and well worth the effort to see it. Good shooting to all.....Rod.

Jeff, you made that one post sound like maybe sometime in the past someone didn't know which ramp to go to or something. LOL ;)

I will be there with bells on my toes and am excited to meet the ones I haven't got to meet before. :0

i'll have a table there and always do, just the shooters that i get tired of shooting, very clean guns. not sure of where i'm located as of yet, split a table with a teacher friend of mine and the mailman.

The days of countdown is getting close we need to start making a game plan so all of us can meet. Gunslinger and I are coming in Friday night and will be at the Radisson Inn. Will be looking forward to meeting all of you I didn't get to meet earlier. :)

DOH! I have to work Saturday morning, so I will attend Sunday instead.

So it's settled, then. Meet on the ramp Jeff described, at each of the two time periods on each of the two days (9:00 to 9:10 and 1:30 to 1:40), if you want to meet up with other TFLers. Jeff, can you verify that the show will be open by 9 and that is will be logistically possible to make your way to the ramp by 9:05 to 9:10???? Thank you.

Not positive, but I thing the show opens at 0800. I know it is open by 0900 to the public. My flight leaves at 1100 on Sun so I must me out of the show by 0930. Too bad you can't make Sat. Wait!! You are one of those high priced attorney's with your own firm!! What do you mean that you 'have to' work on Sat? You can do what you want, you are the boss!

Myself, and Travis0127 (or whatever the numbers are)are car pooling, along with two other guys from Colorado Springs...we can make the meeting time as well. Dinner that night sounds good.

Jeff, you are partly right. "I have to work" means that my legal assistant scheduled two appts for me that day before I could block out my schedule, AND, since I am NOT high-priced, I am broke right now and therefore need to meet these potentially good clients on Sat morn, when they can get in to the office (convenient for them).

OK, listen, I am going to drive to Tulsa Saturday evening, in all liklihood, so I'd like to meet you guys at the restaurant - just tell me which restarant, where it is, and what time is dinner!

Slinger and I will meet the ones on Saturday at the ramp at 9:00. The show is from 8:00am-7:00PM on Saturday and 8:00 AM-5:00 PM on Sunday. Here is the link to the show if any of you have any more questions. I do have one question, will anyone be traveling back through Springfield, MO on Sunday after the show? Here is the link.
