TULAMMO

Was in sporting goods at the local Walmart last week and saw some TULAMMO 40 cal and picked up a box on a whim. Took it out to the range and it fired fine in my Springfield XD. Throw away cases, but I have several thousand brass in the garage for when I start reloading. Price was under $13, so I bought 3 more boxes today just for general target shooting at the local gunclub. Anybody have any experience with or opinions on this stuff.

I fire Tulammo in my RIA .45, my Glock 23 and 19, my S&W M&P9C and my Sig 516 A/R....

Only issue is that it is dirty. Doesn't much matter to me as I clean each weapon completely after each firing session.

It is accurrate and cheap in all of my handguns, but the A/R for grouping prefers either Brass or Silver Bear.

I bought like 500 rounds of the stuff for my XD9. It seems to work fine for the target/plinking/fun stuff. Don't know how dirty it is in relation to other stuff. Doesn't bother me enough to worry about it.

tulla blew up a glock the other day at my local range. judging by the damage to the frame, there's no doubt it was overcharged.

spend .47 more cents and get federal champion at chinamart.

Tulammo killed the extractor in my 669. I ran about 500 rounds and in the middle of my bp match. I only have about 100 rounds left then I'm back to federal Walmart ammo

I happen to have a Ruger semi and they say specifically in their FAQ's that steel casings and foreign manufacturers are fine in their guns, and we have all seen how every gun manufacturer poo poo's anything that may harm the gun exc exc.

I also researched the Tula website and they addressed some of the very issues we are discussing.

But hey, that's just me. I did my own research at the Tula and Ruger websites. You do yours.

Tula Ammo is good. I'm the only one on earth that finds it not terribly dirty, not very accurate, but dead reliable. The 9mm is hotter than Fed Champ. The 40 and 45 seem ok too, but the 40 has a brassish color to the bullet.

No supreme issues with Tula - one failure to fire out of 1000 9mm rounds. Its practice ammo.

I had two FTFs with UMC...

As far as ammo - Federal is now $1.47 higher at Walmart - price increase...

And a "sticky" on top of the General handguns - big Federal Ammo recall...

Any ammo is subject to an issue.

I have never seen or heard of Tulla blowing up a Glock and neither has Glock USA.

and you know this because......

The last Glock I bought has two spent steel casings as the test rounds. I believe there were Wolf

negative. glock test fires all it's guns with blazer aluminum.

^^OK.

Glocks are all made in Austria. The American made ones are for exportation only because Austria has much stricter export laws.

yes, a US made one pops up now and then. for all intents and purposes though, they're export only.

you can find them on gunbroker now and then too. glock will use them to fulfill and order now and then.

I am still waiting to see that Tula Ammo blown up Glock to help that guy out getting it fixed.

you'll be waiting a while ;) who said i have pics to show you?

I am beginning to think you don't know much about Glocks my friend. Just Saying!

'orly?

What a difference two hours and twenty minutes makes...

Is English your first language? Just checking, because words like "all" and "only" have a specific meaning in English.

To the original post--I use TULA ammo in my Glocks and M&Ps all the time with no issues. Seems as accurate as any other cheap ammo but it does run a little dirtier IMO.

Ran 100 rounds of Tula .40 180gr this weekend. Had 2 rounds that had a gritty feel. Found that out when they failed to feed.

The ammo had more smoke but less residue on the gun than many other cheap plinking rounds. I'll still use it -- especially for going to places that are difficult to pick up brass.

never had issues with it in my 9 S&W or my Springfield. I just prefer winchester whitebox as its brass and i have heard that steel casing can mess up a barrel. I would think it would take thousands of rounds but who knows budget shots are starting to get a bit pricey around me now no what can ya do?

where's the grammar specialist, and the one guy on earth that got steel casing ammo instead of blazer with his glock? they haven't returned to post more witticisms.

gosh, i hope they return. their depth of knowledge is truly astounding  :D

I ran a box of TulAmmo .45 ACP through my S&W 1911 on Tuesday. It did not appear to be appreciably dirtier than WWB, UMC, S&B, Blazer Brass or any other range ammo I've used and seemed plenty accurate at 15 yards. I had no reliability issues, the only real difference that I noticed was that recoil seemed a bit stiffer, but not enough to be bothersome.
