have a old revolver i believe is a belgium smith copy but not sure, not very many marks on it. 7 1/2 in barrel, double action, no idea what caliber. trying to figure out how to post pics...

Why don't you resize them? If you use Photobucket as your photo host, you can configure your account to automatically resize uploads to 800x600 (which is a good size for these forums) automatically. If you already have a Photobucket account, you can resize the photos already uploaded using their built-in utility.

This is an old Belgian copy of a Webley top-break, but there should be some more markings on it to let you know who made it, either along the rib or under the grips (carefully, since these are usually pretty brittle). Most of these will at least have some manufacturer's initials on the frame under the grips.

after looking VERY closly in good light there is some small print on the top of the barrel, but i cant make it out even with a magnifying glass

Belgian for sure. There might be some Webley inside, but the top latch is S&W.

The squared off recoil shields and trigger guard spur are like what I see in the Zhuk book on knockoffs made by L & J Warnant Brothers of Hognee, Belgium. They built guns for the trade and markings might be of any dealer or distributor if they did not sell it direct.

That's funny 'Chester73. That's very funny. I'd hate for you to think your hilarity went unappreciated. LOL Grenades! HA! Good stuff.
