picked up an sks, it has a triangle with a 2 in it, then some chines writing, with a serial number 250016xx , then sks 7.62x 39, then CAISTALBVT any help would be appreciated thanks

Not 100%, but if there is no "Norinco" stamped on it somewhere- it sounds like a standard Type 56 SKS. If you see flat areas on the top or bottom of the barrel right up nex to the receiver- it's a screw-in type barrel and chances are good that it's chrome lined. If there are no flat areas, it's pressed and pinned in and may or not be chrome lined.

it has a spot to attach a bayonet also a olive green strap.. I am a shot gun man myself and this is the first rifle besides a 22.picked this up with a wooden case of china made ammo for 300.did i lose out? it has the same serial number on all parts. no flat spots

OP- if it shoots, shoots well, and pretty much shoots where you point the noisy end- I'd say you done pretty well.
