I would like to know, what you guys, (the firearm community) think about (1) being able to track your online firearms purchases, (2) what you would think about streamlining the whole process of buying a firearm online meaning, being able to pay at the same time you choose to purchase your firearm and not having to pay shipping or FFL transfer fees? (3) We are also creating a user interface on our site making it much easier for members to buy and sell used firearms between other members. Thanks for your input!

I'm thinking that most folks who use the internet for gun transactions are savvy bargain hunters who can add up the total costs of their transactions quite easily so won't be swayed much by "which end" the transfer and shipping costs are tacked onto.
Trading sites like gunbroker and armslist are already making things pretty easy... And many big online vendors such as buds and cdnn already have a lot of experience and have the whole thing thought out pretty well... and are respected. The addition of package tracking isn't very impressive to me.

No matter if shipped to me or an FFL I pay online directly to the seller one time for firearm and shipping. And tax if in state. Shipped to me if C&R or shipped to dealer if not. He charges me no transfer fee. Streamlined with things included and no way to opt out, I would be paying for things I don't want so it would probably cost me more. So no.
