A buddy of mine has an 87A that is a real joy to shoot. I expressed my feelings for his rifle and he told me he had another one in the closet that him and another friend pulled a 22 apart and double loaded and then it got stuck in the chamber. I took it apart and the shells came out easily with some coaxing of my own. Only thing it looks like this rifle needs is cleaned and in inner magazine tube assembly. The part that holds the rounds in the tube. I looked on Brownells and they have the part for a Marlin Model 60. I am not real sure on where to measure at to get the proper length for the inner assembly. One is listed at 17-15/16". For 30 bucks would it be worth it? If it was just a tad too short I could lengthen it by using a plug so to speak?
Thanks for any ideas you may have.
