trying to get an old rifle running again.

A buddy of mine has an 87A that is a real joy to shoot. I expressed my feelings for his rifle and he told me he had another one in the closet that him and another friend pulled a 22 apart and double loaded and then it got stuck in the chamber. I took it apart and the shells came out easily with some coaxing of my own. Only thing it looks like this rifle needs is cleaned and in inner magazine tube assembly. The part that holds the rounds in the tube. I looked on Brownells and they have the part for a Marlin Model 60. I am not real sure on where to measure at to get the proper length for the inner assembly. One is listed at 17-15/16". For 30 bucks would it be worth it? If it was just a tad too short I could lengthen it by using a plug so to speak?

Thanks for any ideas you may have.

I'd be pretty confident that Gun Parts in West Hurley NY will have your parts. Google Numrich Arms, and Gun Parts and you'll find them.

Ah ha! Thank you for the website. I had seen that site looking at other things but wasnt really registering what was going on then, and I didnt bookmark it. You are correct, they do have what I am looking for and I dont even have to hope it works from another gun! It is now a bookmarked site!

Thanks again!
