TruGlo Tritium & Fiber Optic sights.

Does anyone have an experience with TruGlo handgun sights that have tritium & fiber optic?

I am considering these sights instead of traditional tritium-only night sights, but I am curious about durability. If you have experience with any TruGlo products and can speak to durability I would be interested in hearing your opinion.

The TFOs look the same in the dark. The FO front sight might as well be plain steel in the dark.

I've been carrying the TFOs for a couple of years and have used them in many IDPA matches and some Steel Challenge shooting.

No issues with durability.

I bought a pair and the front sight had no "T" in it. I e mailed the company and it took two weeks for them to get back to me and tell me to call them. I did that 10 times or so with no response. They have no customer service. I still don't have a front night sight. It sucks they won’t stand behind their product.

I have them on all my Glocks and have installed dozens for customers. We have had exaclty one failure of a rear sight and it was replaced with a phone call to Tru Glo. We also had a Tru Glo red dot scope with a crooked reticle and they replaced it after we shipped it back in around 10 days. For sure less than two weeks. I think they are great sights. I haven't had any returned with durability problems and have no problem with any of mine. Only one person has ever changed them out, but he changed them for some wierd ghost ring pistol night sights and he's the only one who can hit a darn thing with those.

The product is great. I sell tons of them and recomend them. Here is a comparison with other sights. I think they are top of the line as visability, quality, and overall use. Quality has never been an issue so far, so I have never had to deal with the customer service.
I believe in their product and will continue to use and sell it.
There is no excuse for poor customer service.

I have TFOs on my Glock 19, 23, 26 and had a problem with the front sight on the 23. The light pipe came loose but a dab of super glue took care of it. I also found the rear sights to be too bright for most outdoor daylight shooting so I "blacked out" the rears sights by covering them with tape and expermenting. The rear sights are now completely blacked out and the front sight stands out in contrast to the darker rear sights in daylight while the 3 sights glow the same in the dark when you need them. I works for me, put some black plastic tape over the rear sight and try it for yourself.

The comment about the rear sight being to bright makes me wonder if a combination of standard tritium night sight for the rear and tritium-fiber optic for the front sight might not be a good idea...

your idea...

actually i think the idea of the tfo front site and standard tritium rear sites is a great idea but one cant purchase these seperately it would seem. you can, however, shop around and find the tfo's available with a front green site and rear yellow sites. the contrast difference is substantial. Now if truglo would just make tfo's for my HK45...
