Truglo Night Sights on Glock 43 Issue

So I buy a used Glock 43 with new Truglo fiber optic sights with Tritium inserts. Awesome! I bought it in the light and did not test the sights. i get home and the front sight is toast. The two rear sights are shining bright. I contact Truglo and they are generous enough to say they will fix if I send shipping costs of around $12. They were great helping me out. I get the sight and put it on. I test in the dark and the front is bright, now both rears are dead!!! I don't get it. The Tritium is supposed to degrade over time and last up to 12 or so years, but two weeks! What am I missing? Do I need to hold them to light, hehe! I don't even want to hassle with taking them off and sending them in. I plan on just using them as normal fiber optic sights. I did plan on buying more of them but won't go Tritium if they die like that. Crazy!

I think what you're missing is, that it did not degrade in the last 2 weeks, but in the many years you did not own it, same time within few weeks.

Editing for more information.

You can buy the inserts, & DIY, much cheaper, it's very simple.

They were fully illuminating light two weeks ago now show zero light. I know they degrade but I did not expect that rapidly. My point being that I won't be buying more of them. I have the package for them. They are a newer model.

The 43 just came out this year so it couldn't be that old. I put the same sights on mine and they are doing fine,

The vials worked great a few weeks ago, one range trip, no hits or damages to the gun or sights. I have seen no evidence of a leak or issues. If they were somehow broken during normal use I would reconsider even having them on my gun. The only reason I wanted these was so I can see my gun on my nightstand in the dark. Makes it easier to grab for it.

Since you got it used, who knows how the sights were installed. Perhaps they damaged the vials on installation.

I asked when I purchased the gun. He had taken it to a reputable location for the install. I am a Glock armorer. I have seen some crappy sight installs and damages. These sights were properly pushed on with no signs of wear, dents, discoloration, etc. I hear what you are saying, but going from full brightness in the dark to absolutely no light seems to have no other explanation than that. But I just don't see any damages at all. And I have been gentle with the weapon. Thanks for your thoughts.

It does seem kind of odd. The 43's havent been out that long, so I doubt its an old stock issue. Only thing left, is a bad set on Truglo's part. Id call them back and see what they say.

Yep, I wrote them. They responded quickly the first time. Still waiting on a response the 2nd time. Trouble comes in bunches. I sent Walther a gun for repairs. They sent me back a new blued gun, mine had been stainless. I have written them twice about it and they aren't responding. This is getting comical!
