Well first off I want to thank playboypenguin for all the posts and threads about the install of his safe. I decide after reading his posts that I too wanted more security for my weapon. Especially if I go and visit someone at the Hospital or any government building. Again, like PBP, I didn't put this safe in to store my firearm for an extended period of time. Just to thwart the smash and grabs.
I intalled the safe in my 2000 Chevy Extended Cab. Since I have a 3 door truck, I decided to mount the safe so I could access it from the passenger side. I also have it mounted so when the rear set is up, I can access the safe from a seated position from the drivers side.
With the back seat down, you can see from the pics it is barely visible. As soon as I stop by an upholstery shop, and get some foam for the inside, I will update with pics.
I am sharing this with all the members of TFL so everyone can see a different application.
Any constructive comments are welcome.
Again, many props to PBP for the idea!!!!
