I sent a check to a Gun Shop that had a Springfield TRP. Went a week or so later, had to get a permit, inspected the TRP. When pulling the slide back you could see the inside to the side where it looked like it had been spot welded and polished. I passed on the TRP and ordered a Kimber Gold Combat.
I really liked the TRP. I wonder if Springfield shipped it expecting no one would notice, or if it broke it was under lifetime warranty anyway?
When I showed it to the Dealer, he just shruged his shoulders, lowered the hammer and put the gun back in the case.
What would you have done?
