I will preface this by stating that I wasn't real sure where this should be posted, so no tears will be shed if it gets moved.
Hit the range Wednesday, brought out the ol' AR. The rifle wears Troy Industries flip-up BUIS and I'm quite the fan of them. Due to operator headspace and timing issues, the rear sight wasn't properly secured and was dislodged from the rifle. The main body of the rear sight was recovered, but the screw and claw that fixes the sight to the rail vanished in to the outer realm of tiny rifle parts.
Best part about it: after an email to Troy yesterday explaining my plight, and I received a return email today saying that a replacement will be sent.
There's a lot of good AR15 parts manufacturers out there, but a company that backs up their products with superior customer service aren't quite as common. So if you're looking at AR parts, look up Troy, they actually care about us little guys, too.
