Here is my story:
A little over a year ago, during the Sandy Hook scare I bought an M&P15.
I soon deployed to Baghdad and after deploying learned that there was a $100 rebate for military members on the gun. I however was unable to access my receipt and could NOT get the gun shop to cooperate and send a copy. So I returned home and emailed S&W after the deadline had passed. I was told "sorry, nothing we can do, but try emailing this lady". I emailed her and was told she couldn't help but to email the head of the MIL/LEO department.
I emailed that guy and he responded and CC'ed someone else that he would honor the rebate given my problem but he would just need what I submitted originally. I scanned it all to him in November. Followed up two weeks later and got no response. Emailed three weeks after that and got no response. emailed 2 months later and still got no response.
Of course NONE of them have phone numbers on their signatures so I only have email addresses. Finally today I got the number of the secretary who originally forwarded me onto the two I was dealing with and left her a voicemail.
The $100 would be nice to get in the mail but I bought the gun not knowing about it and didn't expect it to ever come through once I learned of it. So its not the end of the world if it never comes. I just do NOT like that they were so willing to assist up front and now refuse to respond back to me or tell me if it is still being worked out OR if it's not coming.
