trouble w/ Super Blackhawk sight

Last night at the range, my dad's SBH was shooting to the right so he decided to adjust the sights. He turned the windage screw counter-clockwise two clicks and then it stopped clicking and the screw started backing out. He turned the screw back inwards, got the same two clicks and then the screw started to tighten up. The sight blade did not appear to be already fully adjusted to the right (in fact it was almost in the center sight base) when this started happening. Any ideas as to what is wrong with it?

I'm sure the old man would appreciate any help or solutions.

Thanks

Jack

Call Ruger. I sent them a busted up rear sight and they sent me a new one for free, no questions asked. Their customer service is second to none!
