$285.00 at auction. If it has the 4 Ts? I would drop out at $350.00. Stay calm and do NOT tug at your ear! LOL

The Trooper Mark III was made only in .38/357, .22 Magnum, and .22LR.
Probably, from a collector's standpoint, the .22 Magnum would be most valuable due to the lower production numbers for this.
The "4 t's" refer to the gun having Target hammer, Target trigger, Target (adjustable) sights, and Target grips.
In fact, the Trooper Mark III only came with the 4 t's.

Buy a Smith and Wesson Model 27 or a Model 28. You will be a lot better collectorwise. Or buy a real Trooper not a MARK model. They are look nice guns but had a recall on the sintered metallic hammers and triggers cracking.
Colt tried new manufacturing techniques on these guns. Colts older guns are works of art and great collector items. The Mark series are usually sold to novices at Gunshows and Auctions that want a heavy duty looking 357 at a cheap price.
The values of Smiths and Older Colts are going up fast. Great investments.
Check out Gunsamerica.com or auctionarms. Mark model Colts have no real collector value. I have thousands invested in Smiths and my Colts but they are 1st gen SAA's. I just hate when gunmakers make cr@p. I hate the new smiths because of the new reverse engineered internal locks!!

Thanks Gunmann and others for advice. Auction is this morning. Also been collecting since 70's. Have Smiths. Have Colts. If there isn't a deal on the Mark III, I'll pass. Just been looking for some "nickle" for the collection, not necessarily for collector value. During reserch, broke out the 1976 Gun Digest, WOW, what a difference!!! Will post selling price if anyone is interested. cec
