Tritium Sites - Who has the BRIGHTEST lamps?

The topic pretty much says it all really: which manufacturer of tritium sites have the best/brightest lamps, in each of your opinions? I recently purchased a set of MMC Tritium sites for my HK USP, and while I am impressed with the overall quality of them, the brightness of the lamps is sorely lacking :( I don't know if they are just old, or what the deal is, but I expected more from such a highly touted product.

At any rate, any info you could give would be much appreciated :)

Do a search for Meprolight, Trijicon and PT.

I've been told that the Hesco Meprolights are the only ones that use a white ring that surround the lamp and that it's better for the day time. The trijicons white ring is painted on. Both are pretty good... but try and get a date of manufacture on the ones you buy... they start dying the day they're made, not the day you buy them. Basiacally you want some that were made recently... but I guess that goes with ANYTHING ;) FWIW, UZI posted a similar question yesterday... in fact it's still on the board at the bottom of the screen if you scroll down.

I prefer the IWI P-T nightsights, but don't waste your time considering them if you are looking for the brightest dots. The P-T rears are intentionally loaded one third less bright than the front dot, even on the all green versions. I want to be able to see my sights not use them as a source of illumination. Avoid P-T, you would NOT be happy with them. Trijicons are relatively large and bright.

Like Jeff OTMG I prefer the PT night sights as well, just for the reason he described.

I'm using Meprolight adjustables on my G21 and Gold Cup. I have Trijicons on my G30. I can't tell any difference in the brightness. I like both brands. The white circles around the Meps don't carry much weight with me, as I don't waste time in day light trying to line up white rings. I just get a proper sight picture and blast away.
