I will be asking Tooltech to install 3-Dot Night Sights on my new S&W Model 627 2 5/8" (new version of the "Bloodworks" revolver).
Regarding the front sight, they tell me I can choose between 1) removal of the original front red ramp sight so they can insert a Patridge front sight with the tritium insert, or 2) they can drill into the orginal red ramp front sight to insert the tritium tube.
I much prefer the idea of keeping the original ramp sight, because it is less likely to snag on my holster or bellyband when drawing.
But I'm wondering what it will look like, with the tube inserted into the ramp. Will it look goofy? Will it look cool? Will it be effective?
Has anybody done this? Any pictures, so I can see what it will look like?
Thanks!
