Triple K magazines

I am looking for a couple of magazines for my new Detonics CM. Are Triple K high quality magazines or are they on a par with USA?

I bought 2 of the Stainless mags a month and half ago. I haven't gotten to use them yet because my slide hasn't been returned from the plating at Customized Creationz. They are identical to the earlier Detonics replacement mags but in stainless. My slide should be back this next week and I'll let you know. They sure look and feel like they will be dependable.

AVOID AT ALL COST Triple Ks are crap ! I've never come across one that worked right in 10 years , used or new . THe last new ones i bought were for a BHP a few years ago from MidWay . They weren't even constructed straight . I called Midway for a RMA , they sent me a refund check and they didn't want the mags back , I still have one as a reminder as to why not to buy them again .

I bought a Triple K mag for an interarms walther ppk. It did not work, jammed every couple of rounds. I contacted Triple K and sent the mag back. They replaced it with a new one - that jammed every couple of rounds. I recently bought a Walther mag - 100% reliable, just like the Walther mag that came with the gun. 'nuff said.

Hhmmm...well, I bought one for a 9mm pistol, and it worked quite well. However, it cost as much as 2 cheaper magazines by another manufacturer which work equally well, so that's my only complaint;. I guess I've just had good luck with magazine purchases. Triple-K, National, Promag, Mec-Gar, Chip McCormick...all have functioned perfectly.--Patrice;)

Metalform made the Detonics "factory" mags, though it's my understanding that the mags made for Detonics USA were to their specs, and not the same as the Metalform-branded ones that can be had from Brownells and others. I have two of the Metalform-branded mags. The first one worked perfectly, until one day, it didn't. I bought a replacement, and that one is still working. I also use two Metalform 7-round 1911 mags as reloads. With Wolff + springs in them I've never had a problem, but when the springs get a bit fatigued, the gun starts to choke. My experiments with 8-round mags have been bad, but I have acquired some new mags, from Check-Mate and Certac, and will try those, too; the stronger springs of the extended-tube mags may be better able to keep up with the Detonics' cycle rate.
