Trigger Work - Ruger Springs

I've replace the stock trigger and hammer springs in my .357 Ruger SP101 with Wolff springs. 8# for the trigger and 10# for the hammer. Wow what a difference!

So far, no problems with light strikes. I only use factory ammo in it. Has anyone had problems with these springs? They seem great.

Just a general comment. All gun makers use springs that are stronger than they have to be to allow for adverse conditions (cold, dirt, grease, hard primers, old ammo, etc.) and for gradual weakening over time. The spring kits use springs that are barely adequate under ideal conditions. The original "overdesign" is removed, and when those springs weaken the gun will malfunction.

Light springs will be fine on the range, where the targets don't return fire, but could be a problem if the gun is needed under some of those adverse conditions.
