Trigger/Safety Question

I have had an AR build going for a while now and am wanting to change out the mil-spec trigger that came with my LPK for one that JP makes. I noticed that their fire control kit includes a safety assembly. Originally, I wanted to have a left-handed safety made by another company, but then began wondering if it would be best to use the one that comes with the trigger? Are those parts specific and matched to each other in a custom trigger?
