My favorite is an electronic fishing scale available from Wal Mart. Check sporting goods. It is accurate to tenths of a pound and the display is large, easy to read and I do not believe that it will take a spring set and show inaccuracies over time. It has a big hook on one end, which I rigged a simple cord and spanner fixture to keep the cord from comming into contact with the frame and affecting the reading. It has a "lifetime" lithium battery and goes off automatically after one minute of non use.

PS: forgot to mention that I think it has a fifty pound limit, so should work for the lightest readings as well as any heavy double action pull.
