When I release the trigger after firing, the bottom part of the trigger pinches the lower part of my trigger finger between the trigger and the trigger guard.

Sir:
I understand now; you know it might be its too long! However, it probably wouldn"t hurt to round off that bottom edge. Try it, but you should, in single action fire, to pull with the middle of the first pat of your index finger and IN the joint for D.A. fire.

Harry, the Mustang is a SA auto.... The problem lies with the pivoting trigger. It is not a sliding unit as with the 1911 and therefore will pinch when returning to battery. I've never had the issue with either of mine but my wife does. Her solution is to use a 1911 and leave the Mustang's alone.... :D And since I don't reload .380's it saves me a ton of money to boot......
Back to the problem.... Check the Scott and McDougall or Cylinder and Slide web sites and see if they mention a resolution......

Thanks guys. Will try rounding that trigger bottom as Harry suggested. Funny thing - when I shoot it left handed, no pinch! I'm beginning to think it is a "vast right wing conspiracy"!
