Trigger on Ruger #1

I have acquired a nice #1 in 338 Win Mag. In my attempt to "lighten" the trigger I don't seem to be getting the job done.

If anyone has had experience in this area I could use some help.

I have adjusted the socket screws in the trigger further in but nothing seems to have changed. The trigger, as is, is almost OK.......but I like a "light" trigger.

Huntschool, I don't give trigger advice. I would contact Ruger and get an owner's manual. It will tell you how to adjust the trigger. I'm not sure how far they adjust down but I doubt it will get much lighter than 3 lbs. George
