Trigger job on Winchester 94

I have a 94 with SN# 6,000,000+ and was wondering if there is a few simple things I could do to lighten the trigger pull. Right now I think it's a bit excessive, and I'd like to lighten it up just a bit.

Being an engineer I like to think I'm smart enough to preforming a little polishing here or there. But if my chances of screwing smothing up are good, I'd like to know if I'd be better off taking it to a smith.

Six, you can polish the sides of the parts and perhaps try a lighter hammer spring. By polishing the sides of the trigger and hammer as well as their adjacent areas in the frame and trigger plate the pull will be much smoother. That may make the trigger the way you want. Wolff www.gunsprings.com may have a reduced weight hammer spring for it. If this doesn't do it and you feel you want it lighter take it to a smith. When it comes to stoning engagement surfaces in triggers experience is needed. George
