Trigger identification?

I just bought a rifle for my son.

It is a used Rem mod 7, that has had a little work done to it.

I noticed that the trigger is phenomenal, much better than my model 700's.

It has no take up and very little overtravel, and breaks like glass in the 3-4# range.

I disassembled it and the adjustment screws are on the front, nearest the trigger. the only marking on it is a "1".

The adjustment screws have no "lawyer paint" on them either.

I don't believe this is a factory trigger, but who made it? I believe that I need one like this on my other rifles.

It may well be factory. The Remington factory triggers are capable of being adjusted to give superb performance, and before the lawsuit craze most ran between 3 and 4 pounds from the factory. If that trigger was adjusted by someone who knew what he was doing, you have lucked out. Make sure you get sear reset by making a simple test: cock gun, set safety, pull trigger, release safety. If the firing pin does not drop, you are good to go. Don't do anything else to the trigger - don't mess with success.

I have no intention of messing with it!:)

It just doesn't look like my trigger on my 700, so I figured that it was aftermarket, and I would like to put that same one on my 700.

On my 700, the adjustment screws are on the bottom of the trigger. These are behind the trigger itself, on the front (muzzle end) of the trigger assy.

Thanks guys.
