4" SW500. Mixed cases, started @ 35 gr of L'ilgun (hodgdon) ended at 39gr. Topped with Hornaday 350gr XTP's

10 yards or so, just standing, no rests. I flinched twice (grr) obviously.

the 35-37gr loads were very enjoyable to shoot but the 39 was starting to become uncomfortable for anything but bear defense imo. I could probably shoot 30-40 of the 35gr ones w/out any discomfort though.

Anyways, this should probably be in Reloading but I thought I'd post it here first.

Pretty nice groups... how'd ya shoot out further though? :p I was considering that massive piece of steel as a new addition to my collection but the bullet price is a little high... How much do you think on average it costs you to reload? Say rounds or so... I've got the presses and stuff I would just need to pick up some 'new' powder since mine is like 20 years old and definately new dies.

Are you shooting the snubby 500 or the full size version?

Thanks in advance!

The 4" :D I think were down to around 40 cents a pop to reload. Thats more shots there than I've shot factory ammo through it (stuff is so damn expensive!).

Im not sure how it shoots further out... figured for now close in groups standing would make it easier for me to aim at the same "spot" everytime a bit easier.
