TRICK SHOTS

Haven't seen any of these guys or gals around for quite a while. 30 plus years ago there was a guy (sponsored by Federal as I recall) that traveled around the outdoor shows. He would do a quick draw with a revolver and fire two rounds
and break two balloons that were separated by a few feet. This was all in about a 10 x 10 ft. booth set up in a corner. The really interesting part was that he did it so fast you could only hear one shot. Saw him do it twice, put two unfired rounds in and pulled two fired rounds out. He was definitely for real.

Heard tell of a guy that traveled for Remington (before my time ) that shot a new model remington . 22 pump . He would throw an object into the air and shoot it, eject the .22 case into the air and shoot the expended case from the hip, and kept doing it until the rifle was empty.

Has anyone seen any trick shooting lately or can recall any from years past ?

I believe the guy you're talking about is named Bob Munden. He's appeared on several TV shows. I think Stan Lee's Superheroes was one of those shows. They had some slow-mo footage of how he would do his shooting. Very interesting.

That's no longer a PC form of entertainment

I once saw a guy who set up two candles on either side of an ax head and blew them both out with one bullet, fired over his shoulder while sighting in a mirror from about 12 ft

That was probably in the late 60's in the parking lot of a shopping mall

Looked that name up. Think that was the guy. Don't remember the name, but the balloon trick was the same. Never saw him on television as we've never had one. Don't think the reception is very good around here and no one has enough interest in one to get a satelite antenna. We don't have time to watch one anyway.

Looked like Bob Munden passed away a couple years back.

Looked up Kelley and Knapp as we haven't heard of them. We have a dial up connection so youtube doesn't work well. But we enjoyed reading about them.

The first time I saw Bob Munden I was in seventh grade and he was putting on his show at my public school. I was one of the kids brought up to verify that he was indeed popping the primers on two cases when doing the two shots so fast you couldn't hear the difference between the two.
