For ~$40 more, you could buy a new Mossberg 500 that is a proven design, has a world of inexpensive accessories and spare parts available, and is made in the U.S.
I would like others have said spend a little bit more and get an 870 or m500. Proven platforms, lots of aftermarket support. I have a Tristar viper g2 and while it is nice and looks like a higher end gun it's the one gun I wish I never bought. I've grown up with guys who used a5's and 1100's. And me explaining what a Tristar is sucks lol. And I'm by no means a gun snob. I just bet that long term support and nostalgia of these guns will be nonexistent sooner than later. It's my only "cheap" shotgun.
