My deep condolences. As a resident of prK-south, I can't imagine coming to any part of Kal unless ABSOLUTELY neccessary. I'm nearing retirement and planning on moving to Az. or Tex at that time.

Yeah, I hear you. I have to for work. Luckily, I'll only be there for about 4 days this time. I'm looking forward to a few restaurants that I know of though!

Ledbetter, I won't be able to go shooting as I'm arriving on a Sunday and leaving that Wednesay. I'm wondering if I'll even have the time to do squat. I've been out to Santa Maria several times, and I'm sure I'll be back with more time on my hands when we get this project firmed up. This trip is just a site survey. I'll have my wife send you my local PN once I arrive (as I don't know it yet), maybe we'll still be able to get together. Any interesting gun shops around?
 
Got to Santa Maria a day early for a bike run. Didn't get lost is why there early. Santa Maria Police desk sgt let me pitch my tent on the station lawn. Way cool.

Don't know the shops in Santa Maria. Jerry at Far West Guns in Santa Barbara is my local favorite and has a smith shop in the back if you need fixng up.

Front you could also go by Vang Comp in goleta on one of your trips,he usually has shotguns on the rack all worked and ready for sale.
 
Too bad you can't do some shooting. The Hogue Grip company has an action pistol range just down the way in Morro Bay. This is where the International Revolver Championship matches have been held the last two years.

Besides the usual, there is also an ICORE club there if you are a revolver afficionado.

San Louis Obispo is a nice town, too. Am looking for some way to relocate there myself. Currently too close to Silicon Valley and SF--expensive and getting crowded.
