Does winchester still make the 44 model 94 trapper? If not, when did they stop?
Winchester stopped making leverguns in 2006, when the CT plant was closed.
Any "Winchester" leverguns post-2006 are made by Miroku (Japan) & branded for Winchester & Browning.
True, but very few 94 were made in 44. Fewer still in a trapper configuration. they are out there, but rare. The 94 is a good 30-30 platform, the 44's made on that receiver were not particularly good.
I had two over the years, and both were just sitting on the rack when I bought them. Guess I was lucky.True, but very few 94 were made in 44. Fewer still in a trapper configuration.
I keep hearing this, but Ive never had any issues with any of mine. What have the problems been? And you're right, the Mod 94 wasn't a particularly good platform for pistol cartridges.
