Training worth what you pay for

I am looking at heading out to get some really good training, having recently become aware of how much it could do for me, and was looking for advice. I am willing to save up and pay for really good training, but I want to know that I will get what I'm paying for. Places I am looking at right now (I am in Utah) are Frontsight (I went down for the subgun class and was pretty impressed with the quality of the training), Gunsite (I've just heard it's good, never been there, and it's relatively close) and American Shooting Academy (Same as Gunsite, don't know much). I want to learn basic handgun and take a few rifle courses. How do these schools stack up?

First thing you need to do is come out to the Utah TFL Gathering this weekend.
Training can be worth it but its not the money but the effort you invest in the training. There are a lot of crappy trainers in Utah, but some are pretty good as well. Front Sight - I'ld avoid. I'ld rather give my money to the Teacher than a Student.
Gunsite is fantastic... That would me my recomendation off the cuff.

I have actually been following the info on the gathering, but I will be out with my scouts this weekend. Unless something weird comes up, I don't think I'll make it to the TFL get together. I would have to come to the gun show, but I was down at Frontsight taking that subgun course.

BTW, what usually happens at the TFL get together? I gathered there will be a whole lot of shooting, but will there be any training or specific drills/exercises done?
