Training near MKE

Hey guys. I'm going into the police academy soon and I have very little knowledge about firearms, but it's something that I want to be dead-on sure that I know what I'm doing with them. Any good training places I can get a head start with in the Milwaukee area? And of course, any other suggestions past "the gun is always loaded" rule would be welcome, too. Thanks.
 
Blackwater has a facility in N/W Illinois. TeamSpartan is a great school in the south suburbs of Chicago.

I would really ponder going into Law Enforcement at this point in history. It ain't your father's Police department.

H#**, there is animosity on this forum towards LEOs, and this should be a warm fuzzy place for LEOs.
