Training in Southern California

Just wanted to let you guys in the Orange County area know that there is excellent training in our backyard. Firearms Training Associates is an offsite training facility of Gunsite Academy, and follows its curriculum. The senior instructor, Bill Murphy, is a senior rangemaaster at Gunsite, senior SWAT officer, and instructor for the SUREFIRE Institute.

Classes offered include Pistol, Revolver, Shotgun, Carbine, Concealed Carry, Low Light Tactics. Advanced curriculum includes CQB tactics, weapon retention, and force-on-force Simunition training against live adversaries.

They also offer their students a unique opportunity for FREE TRAINING EVERY MONTH. See their website for details.

I have also had fantastic training from FTA. I first met bill at Gunsite and have taken a few of his classes at FTA. One of the perks is that if you take a class from him he runs a "refresher" on the last Sat. of the month and the only cost is range and target time.

Murphy and his staff are simply top notch.
