Training, drills, and books for HD/SD?

Hello everyone,

Was wondering if any of you had come across 'must-have' training manuals for HD/SD (that are commonly available).

I have been shooting for years and feel comfortable using all types of weapons, but I'm looking for books concerning defensive strategies as well as 'when things go wrong' scenarios.

Just so you know, I'm not interested in 'ninja/black medecine' stuff. Well-written, sensible advice would be appreciated. Thankyou, RP

If you don't have time to become a Level 26 Cross-stepping Weaver-Ninja, Massad Ayoob's Stressfire Volume 1 presents common sense info on defensive handgun use with pretty good pictures.

Book #1 for anybody that keeps a handgun for self defense should be, IMHO, "In The Gravest Extreme, Massad Ayoob.
After that there are a lot of good books out there. I still have my old copy after all these years and refer to it once a year as a "refresher".
