Training Class Question

I finally saved up enough money and vacation time to enroll in the Basic Long Range Precision Sniper Rifle Course at the Badlands Tatical Training Facility in Oklahoma. I will need 200 rounds of ammo, but I plan to load at least 300. I don't have enough brass from one lot to load that many rounds. I have enough Federal brass to load that many rounds but it is basically all from different lots. What are you opinions on whether I sould try to purchase brass from the same lot or just load what I have? How much will it affect my shooting? Is matching brass and all that only really important for bench rest type shooting?

Mesa,if I were faced with the same situation I would load up the brass you have even though the lots are different. In my humble opinion, you might get a slight variation in the brass from lot to lot,but careful reloading procedures and expert marksmanship( two attributes I know you have) will rule the day for you and you will hit what you aim at.Good luck.-Cliff

Mesa,
I concur with capbuster load the Fed, you won't be able to shoot the difference.;)
You going in Sept???.
Been thinking of same.......

Consistency

is one of the keys to good marksmanship. If given little choice as what you face now, then at least keep the brass separate and start the course using the cartridges for which you have the most brass of one brand. Any deviation from POI when you switch to brand B of the same load will be noted in your rifle log (which should include the ammo type). Scope adjustments can be made and recorded into the log.
