Traditions pennsylvania rifle

Hello all,
I have been shooting BP for about 13 years but I'm new to flintlock shooting and had a question. What is the quality of the Traditions Pennsylvania rifle? I already have a Pedersoli Kentucky rifle and pistol that I love. I like the looks of the traditions and thought about making it my second flinter. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

i own the kentucky and its been my most favorite/reliable flintlock ive owned. I actually like it a lot more than i liked my great plains rifle ( i sold it)

If you get one, let me know and i'll send you some info on where to buy some bad ass flints!

I've heard that the Traditions PA rifle with its 1 in 66" twist is a real tack driver.
The real question then becomes whether or not you will like how the gun fits you.
AFAIK it's the only factory made PA rifle that's made in .50 caliber.
The closest factory made rifle to it is the Pedersoli Frontier Standard which has a 39 inch barrel, a 1 in 47" twist and is 3/4 lbs. lighter in weight.
I wouldn't be surpised if the Traditions PA rifle could out shoot it since it has the better round ball twist, but that doesn't take the fit and feel of the particular rifle into consideration and why that could be important for the individual buyer.

Frontiergander and Arcticap, thanks for the reply. Frontiergander, thanks for the offer. Most likely I will be buying the tradiitions pennsylvania. I really like the looks of that rifle. Arcticap, Pedersoli also makes a .50 Pennsylvania. I have heard good and bad things about Traditions, so I was looking for opinions from people who know BP. Thanks alot guys.

I never noticed the Pedersoli PA .50 rifle before.
The Pedersoli website doesn't even list the PA rifle in .50 caliber.
I'm not sure that it's not a misprint by Dixie since they list the .50's weight as being nearly the exact same as the Pedersoli .32 PA rifle with the same 13/16ths barrel when it should be lighter than the weight of the .45 version at 7.75 lbs. with the same diameter barrel.
Even if it was a discontinued Pedersoli model, the listed weight doesn't make sense.
The fact that Cherry's carries the same model but does not offer it in .50 caliber (even by special order) is another indication that Dixie's ad could be a misprint and that it might not exist.
Anyway, whether the Dixie ad is accurate about there being a Pedersoli .50 PA rifle or not, thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I absolutely love my PA. Shot a few groundhogs with it out to 40 yd, They start getting "too small" for me any farther out, Check attached pic.
