I traded in my 880SQ today for another Marlin. I gave my 880 with about 2000 rounds through it and got a new Marlin 25MN and about 1250 rounds of assorted ammo. Now I know everyone is groaning about it being the base model, but aside from pressed instead of cut checkering and sight differences it is the same as the 882. I circumvented the sights by mounting my 3-9X40 on it and it produces SUB-MOA groups with Winchester 34 grain Supreme JHP! I am extremely happy not to have to carry the extra weight the 880 had and the added punch is exciting. there's not alot more, but its nice to feel that slightly elevated pop when it goes off. Now I'm out to bag some armadillos.
