trade kimber for berreta cougar

I have to kimber custom targets.I want to trade one for a barreta cougar in 45.Is this a good idea or are there other defense 45s that would be a better choice?

Goat, I don't know about a Kimber but I will say a Beretta Cougar is a fine handgun. I have both the .40 and the .45 and plan on a 9mm in the future.
They seem well built and shoot good. Have had no problems, I like em.
Hope this helps :)

Happy Shooting :)

A change from your Kimber to a Beretta will be quite different... Are you not happy with you SA Kimber? Usually people who are happy with a SA don't like transitioning to a DA/SA gun... The Beretta Cougar is supposedly a fine gun, I haven't heard too many complaints... You can do a look-up on a thread in this forum that we had not too long ago... There are a wide variety of .45 DA/SA guns out there... Sig 220 or 245, HK USP .45 full and compact size, Glock 21, 30 or 36 (when it shows up), etc., etc... Try to find a range where you can rent guns to try out the various models... The different brands will all feel different to you... And finding one that feels "right" in your hand should be a major factor in your decision...

i would try a few out first too....than your only option would be the beretta ....head and shoulders above the rest mentioned here ......plastic, in a gun , aaahhh i dont think so .......beretta ..their is no substitute

Well, they're both good guns. If you have two of a type and can live without one of them then I say go ahead. As has already been mentioned though, try to shoot a Cougar if you can just to be sure. I've never fired one but I've handled a couple, nice feel.

Greetings, If you desire a defensive
handgun in .45ACP, may I recommend the
world famous Sig-Sauer P220A. It will
beat out the competition, hands down.

I'M INTERESTED IN GETTING A COUGER 8045 ALSO. I'VE JUST TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO PAY FOR IT WITHOUT MY WIFE FINDING OUT! I'M INTERESTED IN THE RESPNSES ALSO.

I'VE HAD A KIMBER AND QUITE FRANKLY I WAS NOT ALL THAT IMPRESSED. I PREFER AN 80 SERIES COLT OVER THE KIMBER ANYDAY.

Dear OTISZ,get your own credit card and have it sent to your own p.o.box.It has been working for years. As for the trade I have not made up my mind yet.All your replies did help.THANKS

I did have my own credit card that she did not know about. Then one day she opened up the credit bill by accident(what she says), and that was the end of that. Don't get me wrong, I still have my ways, but it will take a little longer than I thought.

Cheers
