trade dilemma

I have a G-19 2nd generation up for trade, I have 1 guy who wants to trade me a Sig 228 and another guy who wants to trade me a Ruger Security Six Stainless .357. I really want both guns but I don't know which one to take. I have to make my decision TODAY. Which one should I choose and why?

I have no experience with either specific gun, but I'm pretty sure the SIG is a safe trade. (but I love my G19 :D!)

Trade for Glock?

 The Glock 19 is better than both of those in my opinion. However, if you must choose, I would select the Ruger .357 mag as you can shoot .38's and .357 magnums in same gun. Plus, it is a very dependable and safe firearm (just like the Glock).

It depends on condition - but I think the Sig is a better gun than the Glock / but it depends on what you want .

What will be your intended purpose for the gun?

If you want a CCW, the SIG P228 is the better choice. The Security Six is a sturdy revolver, but not so easy to conceal (which is why Ruger made the Speed Six back when they made the Security Six).

If you want a woods gun, the Ruger is the better choice.

Have you ever shot a SIG? I prefer their shooting characteristics to those of the Glock, but many people feel just the opposite.

Depends upon which you want more - a revolver or a semi auto. Both would be very good trades. I'd go for the Sig unless you want / need a revolver.
