Toying a toy in my mind?

Kinda getting the urge to buy something. Been going through withdrawal since last fall when I picked up a couple Winchester shotguns.
What keeps popping up in my head is the NAA Mini-Revolver. But I'm wondering which one would be the most fun for a range toy. No need for the magnum, so it's between the short, and long rifle.
In past times I would automatically go for the LR, but that tiny gun with the tiny boolets just go together to me.
Recoil is of no concern, I shoot everything from rimfire pistols to a 45-70 10" Continder with no problem..
Just wondering if anybody has bought a Mini-Revolver in 22 short, and regretted it. Or if they are glad they have the mini of minis.
Strictly an oddity, and range toy. There are 9 or 10 guns in the safe I would use for CCW before the Mini-Revolver.
BTW, a Cobra 38 Spcl. Derringer is also on my mind. Wonder why I keep thinking small in my old age.

The NAA website says shoot the shorts in the 22LR model, so why limit yourself?

Only 3/8" shorter, and 1/2 oz lighter as I check the website. So that is a good point. They also say the short model is a limited run, so probably not as easy to find.
Like a lot of my "what the hell" specials, I'll probably just get what pops up when I'm in the mood. :D

I own a. 22short. It's the coolest little pistol ever.
When you're talking about revolvers that small the. 375" difference in length is substantial.
I did have to wait awhile to get one but since this is only for fun it was worth the wait to get the smallest NAA offering.

I've got the 22 short on my "to-buy" list, not planning on having it as anything other than a range toy and think the short just simply looks better.

They are cheap enough that I would buy the LR first, and if you really feel the need for the Short, get it later. My LR was $200. Its certainly tiny by any standard. Its a great little shooter, and once you figure out the sights, and how to hold it, its surprisingly accurate, out to about 10 yards. I hold mine with my right thumb, and index finger. There is only enough grip for one finger. I cock the hammer with my left thumb, and pull the trigger with my left index finger. With the tiny grip, that works best for me.

I have been warned by severeal gunsmiths, DONT take it apart.

LOL! Need is the last consideration!:D
But the more I look at the pics, the more "in proportion" the short looks. But to, I do own a Judge PD Poly, and proportion sure doesn't mean much there. :D:D

Trivia time...

@ one point in time w/in the time frame that TFL has been online, it was possible to buy one each of every model and every optional barrel length of NAA mini revolver for just a hair above .....

$5,000.00

Believe me, I was really, really, really tempted.

Here's a sample of all three NAA Mini frame sizes - S, LR & Magnum:

The dedicated .22 Short model is the most appealing, while being fun to shoot - to say nothing about breast pocket CCW. ;)

The mag/LR version with the interchangeable cylinders would let you shoot the LR and get a Ruger single six style boot grip. I believe the boot grip is only available on the magnum versions.
