TOW Bucks County Rifle Kit Update #27

This is the final video covering the patchbox on my Track of the Wolf Bucks County flintlock rifle kit. In this video I’ll make and install the actual lid release button. I’ll be making the button out of a big, old wood screw. In fact, this was a butt plate screw from a British SMLE rifle.

BTW, This will be the last flintlock build posting I'll put on this board. I realize that the readership of this board has a much stronger interest in cap and ball black powder shooting than in building flintlocks. For those of you who are interested in the rest of the build, you can check the on-going thread in the "Gun builders' bench" forum on the Traditional Muzzleloaders Forums site:

great video series. I've tagged them so next year I can follow your lead and build my own (got to find the time). I'd be equally interested in a PC rifle build also. :)

Mike,

I always enjoy your posts here and I for one have enjoyed the rifle build a great deal. I hope you will continue to post here.

Mike,

Just a second to the Tidewater_Kid's wish that you continue to post here. Your ongoing research into black powder firearms has been a real joy to share.

Thanks for your efforts.
