Tourism and States with lax gun laws

Over the past several weeks, I have been reading about this group or that manufacturer that is canceling plans or moving operations because of new gun control measures.

What I haven't heard, nor read, is of any anti-gun people saying they won't be visiting gun friendly States on summer vacation. Nor have I come across any anti-gun manufacturers saying they were not going to sell their wares in gun friendly States.

This got me thinking about my State and the fact that Yellowstone is THE summer destination for millions of folks every year. Add to that the number of people who come to Wyoming as a summer vacation destination not related to Yellowstone like dude ranches, fishing trips, hunting trips, etc. Do these folks feel less safe when entering Wyoming because we have constitutional carry. Do they feel un-safe enough to not plan a trip to Wyoming?

Do anti-gun people even understand that States like Wyoming are completely opposite of the places they come from regarding guns?

Do the folks who visit us here in Wyoming every summer even realize that nearly every pickup truck and suv they pass on our highways has at least one gun?

It boggles my mind to think how these folks are so ignorant to the fact that the thing they fear most, is surrounding them on vacation to Wyoming.

I hope they never realize it, because Wyoming loves their tourist dollars!

It's doubtful that folks from the anti-gun states, who don't own guns, give the subject any where near as much thought as we do.

Those soccer moms are only concerned about their home world and do not realize what is happening around them. Watch them leaving the grocery store - walk right across in front of traffic on their phone oblivious to possibly getting hit - you think they are thinking about gun laws in WY?

There is a lot of talk on hunting web sites about hunters boycotting Colorado this year.

I think I might take a vaction to a gun friendly state and get a break from the people that are running Colorado into the ground.

But I was planning to come to Colorado on vacation, and possibly even bring my concealed handgun. Would I still be welcome?

I would wish that those hunters that vacation in Colorado would cancel or at least tell businesses that they won't be back next year due to the state's new firearm laws and will go to Wyoming instead If enough sportsmen/women from out of state boycott, then maybe the legislators will get the message (probably not, but worth a try).
Nothing gets a legislator's attention like a hit to the pocketbook.

I would imagine that most of the anti gun legislators in CO would also like to see hunting banned as well. The ex-SanFran folks who like Boulder and similar places typically do not hunt and feel hunting interferes with their skiing. Having lived in Rifle, with Aspen not far from there, I heard a lot from those who had an extra home in Aspen. These same types are the ones who have built mansions on mountain tops in Telluride and elsewhere and slowly take over the local politics - I saw it happen in St. George Utah and Reno.
These folks vote, and the only way to defeat them is get all of the apathetics off their butts and to the polls to defeat them, or it will only get worse.
