The Summer is a time for vacations, I spent much time in Alaska, and the rust can catch up with your skills! My pistol and I did a little shooting, noted in another post, and I also took out the Winchester 67 to touch up my rifle skills. My only rifle shooting was in Alaska shooting the big boomers that I use in the field ... that was low round count shooting, so not much help keeping on top.

Get out there and shoot. The heat is rough, the rain is wet, but practice when things are not good, and it keeps you ready for the real world...

Absolutely. There is nothing that erodes more quickly than shooting skills. And, the hunting season will be here before you know it.
