Some of you, I'm sure feel like Taurus quality is summed up in my subject line. For thos who are still reading, I thought I'd let you know how my .45 Colt is working. To refresh, I could not operate the gun in DA mode after firing 20-30 rounds. It was found that the B/C gap was too tight, and the hand was not turning the cylinder well, either. Taurus corrected both problems and returned the gun, and they paid return next day air. I shot the gun today with 50 Winchester 225gr. Silverstips, all DA, and the trigger was quite noticeably smoother, with no hang-ups (B/C gap is at .005 now, whereas before, it was .002). Near the end, I fired some Cor-Bon (225 or 250 gr.) in it, and the cylinder locked after the second shot. I examined everything, and nothing was sticking out or rubbing. After opening the cylinder and closing, I fired the remaining rounds with ease. Any ideas? I continues firing the Winchesters, which went fine. MAybe I'm stuck shooting Silvertips, but I really wanted to bea able to shoot Cor-Bons. The guns is now doing what it's supposed to do...I wonder if the gun is simply not made to shoot the Cor-Bon ammo?
